Fallow Deer

Fallow Deer originated from Europe but can be hunted all over the world. They are an extremely unique deer species that are known for their broad palmate antlers and striking colors. The adult males can range from 140-220 lbs in size and grow the most unique antlers of any deer species. Fallow deer have three main colors: white, chocolate, and spotted and we have them all here at Sedgefields Lakes Plantation. The prize is their moose like palmated antlers that can grow to over 2 feet in length. Fallow deer make for a good hunt because they are known to be cautious and will flee at a moments notice if they feel threatened by their surroundings. Their meat is considered to have an amazing flavor and is extremely lean.
